A family operation in the Dakotas. We farm, engineer and install drain tile, sell, rent and assemble equipment, and write crop, hail and livestock insurance.
Need a hand? We do custom planting, spraying and tillage for neighbors when our schedule allows.
Grain piles to pick up or a project that needs construction equipment? Give us a call.

Meet NiaWe farm across the Dakotas, we want the manure, and we are building a hog facility in McPherson County with Christensen Farms right now.

We started farming in 1998, with two generations working side by side from the very first day. That makes us newer than a lot of farm families, and we have never taken the ground for granted. Today the third generation is getting started, too.
For us it was never about counting acres. It is about taking care of every acre of soil and every plant on it: build the soil every year, grow healthy crops, and do the job right before we ever try to do more.
Soil Health. Plant Health. Food, Fiber & Energy.
We built our own software that takes the data our machines collect in the field and analyzes it in depth. We have fine-tuned it over many years for our climate, our region and our soils. It makes us more efficient, but more importantly it tells us what the soil needs, so we can give every acre exactly that and nothing it doesn't.
It starts in the cab. Our equipment operators are not just steering wheel holders: they run the machines, collect the data and keep the technology working, acre after acre.
Healthy soil produces the best.
Each square on the map is one acre. Tap one to zoom in to the plants, and see the kind of data we look at before we decide what that acre gets.
Switch the map to Soil Health to see how much one field can vary, acre to acre.

In 2026 we planted 542.6 million corn seeds and 1.7 billion soybean seeds, and we care for every one. Almost none of it ends up on a dinner plate as-is. Here is what a single bushel becomes once it leaves our fields.
It all starts with sunlight, air and water: the plant pulls carbon dioxide from the air and builds it into grain. Then the circle closes. The feed goes to livestock, their manure comes back to our fields, and we grow it all again next year.

Parked inside our office on Highway 12 is a 1968 Barn Series Steiger, hand-built in a dairy barn in Thief River Falls, Minnesota, and one of only two Barn Series tractors built with a cab. It still runs, and it still rolls out for local parades.
The building itself started as a house in Mina. We engineered the move, the foundation and the remodel ourselves. Inside you will find solid oak built by Hutterite craftsmen, and Grandpa Don's barber chair.
Everything we do is a team effort. We can't do any of this without good people.
We are right on US Highway 12 near Aberdeen. Give us a call before you head out and we will make sure someone is here to meet you.
